What we’ve got here is at the opposite end of the spectrum.
Schneider has announced the iPro Lens System, purpose-built to deliver what the company calls “professional quality” photo and video imagery with the iPhone 4 and 4S.
iPhone 4/4S owners can enhance the camera in their phone by adding a wide angle or fisheye lens to capture more in every shot.
The system includes a black iPhone case. The lenses use a bayonet mount to securely fasten onto the custom iPhone case. The case also gives users the option of attaching the handle on the left or right side of the iPhone.
The handle itself lets the phone be attached to a tripod.
The wide angle lens increases the iPhone’s field-of-view by 35 percent with low distortion and edge-to-edge sharpness.
For a super-wide, distorted effect, there’s the fisheye lens. It alters the field of view by 165°.
iPro lens housings are precision machined from aluminum alloy and anodized for durability. The lens elements are ground and polished from top grade optical glass. To avoid flare, the lenses feature multi-layer anti-reflection coatings.
The iPro Lens System, complete with the case, two lenses and handle will sell for US$199.
