The fourth model of the Unique-Lens series and seventh in the Q-mount system of lenses, this new lens is comparable to the original pin-hole camera: fixed aperture of f/9 and a focal length of 11.5 mm (53 mm equivalent) when mounted on the Q7 or 63.5 mm on the Q or Q10.
The company says it delivers an image with distinctively velvety edges.
Featuring a focusing range of approximately 0.3-2 m, still life shots and macro photography are given a dream-like look and feel.
The lens measures 6.9 mm in length and mounts onto the camera body just like a lens cap.
The Pentax-07 Mount Shield Lens is scheduled to be available in July at a suggested retail price of $79.99.
