New Flickr apps make picture-taking easier

flickr app androidFlickr has released new versions of its iPhone, iPod touch and Android apps to make it faster and easier to capture, share, and discover photos and videos.

– Capture and edit up to 30 seconds of HD video, using the same live filters available for photos, directly in the app.

– Smarter and faster search experience, 30 milliseconds instead of up to three seconds per search previously.

– Simpler navigation tools and a redesigned photostream make it easier to share to Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook.

– Thanks to a more intelligent search engine, as well as improved auto-tagging, you can quickly find what you’re looking for, no matter how many photos you have. Flickr understands the geo-locations and time of your photos, can also detect the color, and often who’s in them and what they are about.

The new Flickr apps are free and available to download for Android in the Play Store, and rolling out for iPhone and iPod touch in the App Store.
