Nikon Canada has apparently notified its Professional Services (NPS) members by email that it is consolidating all warranty and repair services (pro and consumer) to its Mississauga, Ont., headquarters, “in response to market changes.”
The company says this means the closing of its service depots in Richmond, B.C., and Montréal, Que.
Despite this, Nikon says NPS members will continue to receive expedited service on emergency repairs, and Nikon will maintain the 72 hour turnaround time from time of receipt. As well, if the company is unable to complete the service within that time-frame, loaners will be provided based on availability.
Nikon Professional Services is available only to full-time pro photographers.
